Exclusive: Interview with the Legendary Whitney Houston

I had the opportunity of interviewing Ms. Houston briefly regarding her parenting style and also how important it is to be and to have a mentor. Now as you guys know, I work in radio and was prepared to record the audio, but Ms. Houston and her team were uneasy about it and understandably so. Instead, I suggested to do it old style journalist way with a paper and pen and all systems were a go.

The Teen Summit is a non-profit organization brought to life and founded by Houston’s sister-in-law and manager, Pat Houston. The annual event took place in Shelby, NC and was attended also by actor Quinton Aaron of “The Blind Side”, gospel singer Kim Burrell, the Rev. Yolanda E. Thompson and Dr. Shirley Shields.
Whitney was on hand in support of the summit and to present a special ambassadors award to mentor and friend, Kim Burrell. Check out some of the pics of the diva below.
