Whitney Houston on set

Whitney  in “Sparkle,” playing a gospel singer, and will be performing two songs in the movie. It appears the Diva’s first shooting scenes, where in the church, with Whitney singing, “He’s Eye Is On The Sparrow.” Find out what those on the set had to say about Whitney’s performance, after the click. 

The remake of a 1976 movie about a musical sister act, also stars, Jordin Sparks, Mike Epps, Derek Luke, Omari Hardwick, Tika Sumpter, Carmen Ejogoand the film will also feature, Cee-Lo Green. Directing the film is Salim Akil and Whitney is one of the executive producers, along with T.D. Jakes.

Whitney sang “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” yesterday in a Sparkle scene and made everyone cry. Amazing! But can’t do clips yet.

The movie is “Sparkle” and the scene with Whitney Houston singing was phenomenal! Actors and crew were crying! We had church!

It was VERY heavy on set today. Whitney Houston sang “His Eye Is On the Sparrow” & literally cried for 30 minutes. Amazing!!!! Whitney sounds INCREDIBLE!!! I’m here to tell you that SHE’S BACK!! I watched & experienced vocal perfection today.

The more, Whitney sang the more and more people started to go in! It turned real really quick. I just hope the cameras weren’t on me. :) When I tell y’all, we ALL caught the Spirit when Whitney Houston performed “His Eye Is on the Sparrow.” Whitney Houston just did her thing on set! The church scene really turned into church!! She was trying to sing for real!!

She was great! Worked hard and nailed her vocal. She is in good voice right now. One song so far, one left to do. She sounds great! Fans will be happy.
